Build a high-volume neurosurgical practice with one of Iowa's leading independent health systems. This employed opportunity offers a $1,000,000 base salary, uncapped earning potential, advanced surgical technology, and the ability to help shape the future of an established Neurosurgery program while enjoying an outstanding quality of life in Eastern Iowa.


Position Highlights

  • $1,000,000 base salary with uncapped wRVU productivity and proven earning potential exceeding $1.3 million
  • Established practice with immediate patient volume due to multiple physician retirements
  • Approximately 85% spine and 15% cranial case mix
  • Physician-led, independent health system with collaborative leadership
  • Dedicated OR block time and exceptional anesthesia support for maximum efficiency
  • Experienced Neurosurgery APP in place with opportunity to expand support
  • Hospitalists and Critical Care teams manage medical complexities
  • Epic EMR, Dragon Dictation, and AI Copilot documentation
  • Advanced technology including Mazor Robotic Spine Platform, ROSA Robot, Tumor Mapping, and multiple Da Vinci Xi robotic systems
  • Opportunity to influence program growth and become a leading spine surgeon in Eastern Iowa

Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurosurgery
  • Eligible for unrestricted Iowa medical license and DEA registration
  • Spine-focused neurosurgeons with expertise in cervical, lumbar, and degenerative spine procedures preferred
  • Candidates with cranial interests are welcome
  • Experienced surgeons and graduating residents/fellows encouraged to apply
