Certified Nurse Midwife needed in Killington/Rutland, Vermont

RRMC is recruiting full scope Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join Rutland Woman’s Healthcare. This CNM would be joining a thriving OB/GYN practice in Vermont, becoming an integral part of our dynamic collaborative care team. Our provider team is comprised of four OB/GYN Physicians and a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. We are looking for a CNM who is passionate about providing exceptional patient centered, evidence-based care while supporting normal physiological changes one can experience across a reproductive lifespan.

This outpatient, hospital-owned practice is adjacent to the main hospital campus and an office on same floor as labor and delivery unit for use when on call. The hospital team is comprised of highly autonomous nursing team, respiratory therapists and pediatricians.  The team facilitates roughly 300 births each year.

This position includes first call for OB and Gyn patients, usually 24 hr shifts, one day a week and one weekend a month. 

Rutland Regional Medical Center is a 144-bed hospital, employing over 1,700 professional and support staff including 337 medical staff trained in 39 specialty areas serving Rutland County and the outlying region.

Required Qualifications

  • RN and CNM licensure per VT State Board of Nursing
  • DEA number or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association
  • NRP Certification
  • Preferably 2 years of CNM experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ultrasound assessment and interpretation
  • Experience with GYN procedures IUD/Nexplanon/I&Ds/Colposcopy
  • Experience as 1stassist at c-sections
  • Experience in both outpatient and hospital-based settings
  • Familiarity with quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
