Access TeleCare is seeking board-certified Psychiatrists for multiple back up positions to deliver high-acuity inpatient behavioral health back up services through our advanced telemedicine platform.
Requirements:
- Board-certified MD or DO in Psychiatry
- Priority States include licenses in:
- AR, MD, IL, MI, NM, CA, KS, MO, LA
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
Tele Roles Available:
- Tele Backup Medical Director for Arkansas sites:
- Responsibilities include: Supervise clinical staff; review, co-sign and sign off on APP notes, initial evaluations (within 24 hrs Monday–Friday; Monday for weekend), discharges; complete admits/recertifications per policy; conduct IDT meetings; complete billing capture; attend MEC and required meetings.
- Tele Backup Medical Director float for all IL/MD/MI/NM sites:
- Provide tele Backup MD coverage at several sites across IL, MD, MI, and NM
- Tele Backup Medical Director for Maryland site:
- Backup Medical Director would provide clinical oversight and coverage support for main Tele Psychiatrist, as well as performing Site Medical Director duties at Maryland facility.
- Responsibilities include: Clinical supervision of the Behavioral Health Units and professional staff, supervising a panel of 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs/APPs), daily review and co-signing of APP notes, signing off on initial evaluations within 24 hours (Monday-Friday) and discharge documentation, completing admission certifications/recertifications, attending hospital administrative and MEC meetings, overseeing the monthly clinical schedule, and ensuring physician back-up call availability.
- Tele Backup Medical Director for additional Maryland sites:
- Supervise/collaborate with 4 APCs across 72 beds.
- Responsibilities include: review/co-sign APP notes and initial evaluations within 24 hrs (Monday–Friday; Monday for weekend notes), certify admissions/recertifications, approve discharges, complete billing, lead/attend IDT and MEC meetings, and perform other administrative duties as assigned.
- Tele Backup Medical Director for California SNFs (Skilled Nursing Facilities):
- Seeking Backup Medical Director for several California SNFs.
- Supervise/collaborate with 1–2 APCs.
- Responsibilities include: Clinical supervision; review/co?sign APP notes daily; sign initial evaluations within 24 hrs (M–F) and Monday for weekends; complete admits/recerts; sign discharges; conduct IDT meetings; complete billing; attend MEC/other meetings.
- Tele Backup Medical Director for Kansas and Missouri SNFs (Skilled Nursing Facilities):
- Seeking Backup Medical Director to cover all KS & MO SNFs (15 facilities).
- Will supervise/collaborate with 1–2 APCs.
- Responsibilities include: Review/co-sign APP notes daily; sign initial evaluations within 24 hrs (M–F) and next Mon for weekend notes; certify admits/recertifications per policy; sign discharge docs; conduct IDT meetings per unit needs; complete billing in practice system; supervise unit staff; oversee care plans; attend MEC and other required meetings. Ideally they would start licensed in at least 1 state and we could license up
- Tele Backup Medical Director for Louisiana Sites:
- Provide tele Backup MD coverage at 3 LA sites
