Assistant or Associate Professor – Division of Behavioral Neurology

Rutgers Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Behavioral Neurologist to join the Department of Neurology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. This faculty position offers an outstanding opportunity to provide comprehensive care for patients with cognitive and behavioral neurological disorders while contributing to the academic, research, and educational missions of one of New Jersey's premier academic medical centers.

Opportunity Highlights

  • Faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient care for patients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other cognitive and behavioral neurological disorders
  • Join a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic neurology program
  • Participate in Neurology Grand Rounds and other departmental academic activities
  • Shared inpatient call responsibilities, including night and weekend coverage at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital
  • Teach and mentor medical students, neurology residents, Behavioral Neurology fellows, and rotating trainees
  • Opportunities to participate as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator in industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials
  • Engage in clinical, translational, or scholarly research with opportunities for publication and academic advancement
  • Work alongside nationally recognized faculty dedicated to advancing patient care, education, and innovation in Behavioral Neurology

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
  • Fellowship training in Behavioral Neurology or a related cognitive neurology subspecialty
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New Jersey
  • Interest in academic medicine, teaching, and multidisciplinary patient care
  • Commitment to clinical research and scholarly activity preferred

Compensation

The anticipated salary for this position starts at $211,320 annually.

The compensation offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on several factors, including education, training, experience, academic accomplishments, market benchmarks, available funding, and internal equity.
