Job Description
- Specialty:
- Cardiothoracic surgery
- Coverage Needs:
- 10/8 - 10/12
- Will have ongoing coverage needs
- Shifts:
- Call only
- Surgical time scheduled in AM, office in PM
- Rounding and oversight of post ops in ICU
- Census:
- Approx 2-5 pts admitted at a time
- Setting:
- Hospital
- Call from hotel - Surgeon will take calls from Cath Lab/INPT/ER & complete CABG/AVR urgent procedures if needed. Cardiologist may call from Cath Lab asking to reviewing films
- Support Staff:
- Full support staff
- Procedures:
- Aneurysm, thoracic vascular
- Chest wall debridement/rewiring sternum
- CABG
- Coronary atherosclerosis
- Pericardial Surgery and catheter drainage
- Sternotomy (re-do)
- TAVR experience is Mandatory
- EMR:
- Epic
- Board Certification:
- BC required
- Travel:
- Hospital will cover
- Credentialing timeline:
- 30-60 days for full privileges
- Requirements:
- Active IN license, CSR, DEA
- Clean Background
- AHA issued BLS
