The Division of Otolaryngology within the Department of Surgery at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Laryngologist and/or Sleep Surgeon to join our growing academic team.

This is an exciting opportunity to practice at one of the nation's leading academic medical centers while contributing to innovative patient care, education, and research. Faculty appointment at the level of Clinical Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor is available based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology
  • Fellowship training or demonstrated expertise in Laryngology and/or Sleep Surgery preferred
  • Eligible for an Ohio medical license

The desired applicant should have a national reputation in academics, clinical practice, and research with the ability to obtain outside research funding.  Excellence in teaching should be demonstrated with evidence of scholarly activity, including clinical pursuits, and research. Participation in leadership positions at the university, regional, or national level is desired. The desired assistant professor should have a regional reputation with experience in clinical practice, teaching and research.  Responsibilities for both the assistant and associate professor include clinical and didactic teaching of residents and dental students, scholarly activity, research and service. A specific emphasis in trauma surgery, TMJ surgery, and orthognathic surgery is desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be American Board-Certified or an active candidate for board-certification.
  • Qualifications for this position include completion of accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program.
  • Active Ohio dental License in good standing upon effective date of employment
