We have an opportunity for a Nocturnist Physician to join our well-established Hospital Medicine service at University of Maryland Rehabilitation and Orthopedic Institute in Baltimore, MD.

 

Position Details

  • Our hospitalist team provides inpatient care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds, and planning for discharge.
  • Flexible block schedule
  • Low census
  • EMR: Epic
  • Must be BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with an active Maryland license, BLS, ACLS, DEA and CDS License.

  • UM Rehabilitation & Orthopedic Institute provides specialized rehabilitation services in each of its four 32-bed units. Each unit is staffed by a multidisciplinary team led by a rehabilitation physician collaborating in quality care delivery with the disciplines of nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, therapeutic recreational, case management and dietary, in addition to consulting with other physician services such as ENT and Urology.
  • UM Rehabilitation & Orthopedic Institute has provided inpatient services to over 20,000 patients in the past 10 years.
  • UM Rehabilitation & Orthopedic Institute is located on the Baltimore City/County line with easy access to the Baltimore Beltway I-695 and I-70.

  • BE/BC in Internal Medicine
  • Strong inpatient skill set

  • Experience working with advanced practice providers
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
