Sanitas Medical Center is seeking an experienced Medical Director (MD/DO) to provide clinical leadership for our Tampa Bay region, supporting our Pinellas and Riverview medical centers. As Medical Director, you will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and operational leaders to support high-quality patient care, improve clinical outcomes, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Medical Director Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the assigned medical centers
- Mentor, support, and collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers
- Promote evidence-based medicine and clinical best practices
- Support quality improvement initiatives, population health programs, and value-based care objectives
- Partner with operational leadership to improve clinical performance, patient satisfaction, and overall practice operations
- Participate in provider recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and professional development
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and clinical guidelines
- Maintain an active clinical practice while fulfilling Medical Director responsibilities
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain prior to employment
- Active DEA registration
- Previous physician leadership or Medical Director experience preferred
- Strong understanding of outpatient primary care and value-based care models
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills
- Passion for mentoring providers and improving patient outcomes
