Hillsboro Area Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital offering emergency care, inpatient care, and transitional care, as well as diagnostic imaging, laboratory, physical therapy, sleep clinic, and surgery. They have a 24-hour lab and x-ray, and MRI services. The newly-built emergency department that qualifies as a "green" (i.e. enviro-friendly) facility.
