Neuroradiology | All Neuro Cases - New Leadership

Why Join Us

Detroit Medical Center's physician group is building something meaningful — a dedicated neuroradiology service rooted in academic excellence, resident education, and quality-driven care under new leadership. You'll read exclusively neuro cases across a six-hospital enterprise that includes a Level I trauma center and a pediatric hospital, all without carrying call. This is a rare opportunity to practice at the intersection of clinical depth and teaching, with the stability of a major academic health system behind you.

Position Highlights

  • Specialty: Neuroradiology — 100% neuro reads, no diversified case mix
  • Call: No call
  • Volume: 45–50 studies per shift; approximately 10,000 wRVUs annually
  • Schedule: Predictable on-site 8-hour weekday shifts
  • Setting: Academic, quality-focused environment across six DMC hospitals in metro Detroit, including a Level I trauma center and a pediatric hospital
  • Teaching: Daily resident interaction via the I-Collaborate platform; the department places a high value on education
  • Technology: Enterprise PACS (Change Healthcare + PowerScribe); Sectra transition planned for 2026
  • Open to: New graduates and experienced neuroradiologists
  • Group: Subspecialty-rich department spanning neuroradiology, MSK, body imaging, pediatric radiology, nuclear medicine, breast imaging, emergency radiology, and more

What We Offer

  • Compensation: Base salary structured for 10,000 annual wRVUs; additional per-wRVU compensation above threshold
  • Sign-on bonus: Enhanced sign-on bonus for qualified candidates
  • Fellowship stipend: Earn while you learn program available

Why Detroit

Detroit is a city in the middle of a remarkable resurgence — a place where deep cultural roots and a reinvented urban core make for a genuinely compelling place to live. The cost of living remains well below most major metros, giving your compensation real purchasing power whether you're buying a home in the city or settling into one of the area's excellent suburban communities. Detroit's dining and arts scenes punch well above their weight, anchored by world-class institutions like the Detroit Institute of Arts, a legendary music heritage, and a restaurant landscape that continues to draw national attention. With easy access to the Great Lakes, professional sports across all four major leagues, and a tight-knit medical community, Detroit offers a quality of life that consistently surprises those who experience it firsthand.
