Avera Medical Group Dell Rapids, located in southeastern South Dakota is seeking a family medicine physician to join an existing group of 3 Family Medicine Physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Providers.

OPPORTUNITY

• Schedule – 4 days/week
• Call schedule 1:6 weekdays.  1:6 Holidays.  Weekend call is available with extra pay.
• Market area 15,000
• Avera Dells Area Health Center – 23 bed facility with average daily census of 3 
• Standard imaging tests available on-site or via mobile unit
• Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy. 24/7 Respiratory Care coverage and cardiac rehab. 
• Onsite infusion center. Outreach specialties include Counseling General Surgery, Orthopedics, and Podiatry.
• Social Worker and Pharmacist work on-site.

Purchased from private physicians in 1994, Avera Medical Group Dell Rapids is a vital link in the primary care network of Avera McKennan.   The clinic, adjacent to the hospital was built and opened in 2007. Avera Dells Area Hospital is a 23 bed facility providing both inpatient and outpatient services. In the next 3-4 years, Avera Dells Area Hospital will be building a new $25 million dollar hospital.

Dell Rapids has excellent schools with a K-12 parochial school as well as a K-12 public school system.  Several colleges and technical schools are available in Sioux Falls and South Dakota State University is located just 35 miles north in Brookings.  The University of South Dakota is located just 60 miles south in Vermillion.
