Duke Eye Center in Durham, North Carolina is accepting applications for a full-time, fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon with interest and/or experience in pediatric and adult retinal diseases to join the collegial vitreoretinal faculty in the Department of Ophthalmology.

Details of the role:

  • 2.5-3.5 days in clinic/week with 1 day in OR/week 
  • 1:7 call
  • Participate in teaching and mentorship of residents, fellows, and trainees
  • OR time at our main campus, with outpatient time rotating across the triangle
  • ROP experience not required

The successful candidate will have:

  • Completed an ACGME-accredited ophthalmology residency
  • Completed an AUPO-accredited VR fellowship
  • Board certification (current or within the first year of hire) is preferred but not required
  • Be willing to travel to multiple Duke Eye Center locations throughout the triangle
