Interventional Cardiologist

Augusta Health is the first ACC HeartCARE Center of Excellence in Virginia. We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join our established and highly respected organization.

Opportunity Details:

  • We are recruiting a fourth Interventional Cardiologist to support STEMI program.
  • 1:4 STEMI Call 
  • Employed position with the hospital medical group.

The ideal candidate is BC/BE in Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology. We are seeking candidates interested in further growing an established and respected Interventional program at Augusta Health. Expertise in the management of coronary intervention in all aspects of coronary disease including stable and ACS is required. The ideal candidate would have an established skill set that includes complex PCI and mechanical circulatory support implantation.  Training and/or experience in peripheral arterial as well as venous interventions is also welcomed. Early career and candidates graduating from fellowship are also welcome to apply.

About the practice:

  • Practice currently consists of 5 General Cardiologists, 2 (3) Interventionalists, and 1 (2) Electrophysiologist, along with 9 Advanced Practice Providers.
  • Cath Lab consists of 3 Labs with a lab dedicated for PCI, PCI/PVD, & EP, along with an 8-bed pre/post recovery unit collocated with the CCL (Cath Lab modernization FY27)
  • Clinical affiliation with the Mayo Clinic and UVA Cardiac Surgery teams
  • Heart Failure Program with a dedicated post-discharge clinic
  • Cardiac rehabilitation program on campus (AACVPR accredited).
  • Pulmonary rehabilitation program on campus (AACVPR accredited).
  • Primary Stroke Center accreditation (AHA).
  • Augusta Health is an accredited ACC Chest Pain Center, ACC Heart Failure Center with Outpatient Services, IAC Echocardiography accredited, IAC Vascular Lab accredited, and IAC Cath Lab accredited institution.
