Melanoma Oncologist at The Medical University of South Carolina

The Hollings Cancer Center’s Division of Hematology and Oncology at the Medical University of South Carolina is NCI Designated, Nationally Ranked, Magnet Recognized and seeking a Melanoma Oncologist to continue driving our cutting-edge cancer center forward and to provide top-notch patient care to our South Carolina.  

 

About MUSC Hollings Cancer Center: Hollings Cancer Center is the state’s only National Cancer Institute and one of only 71 NCI centers in the U.S. The center has NCI approved programs in developmental cancer therapeutics, cancer immunology, cancer biology, and cancer control, as well as multiple shared resource cores and state-of-the-art clinical and research facilities. These include a highly developed clinical trials office with a growing multi-center trials network and Phase I trials program, a translational science laboratory, a robust biorepository and tissue analysis resource, and a clean-cell evaluation and therapy facility. Clinical and translational research at The Hollings Cancer Center is supported by transdisciplinary cancer teams in seven tumor specific working groups and within the university is supported by a NIH-funded Clinical and Translational Science Award. In addition, the Hollings Cancer Center functions in close partnership with pediatric oncology faculty in the recently opened Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital.  

Required Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology 
  • Eligible for SC licensure 
  • Strong clinical experience in general medical oncology is required. Tumor specific interest/expertise in Melanoma.


Position Highlights:

  • Normal office schedule (M-F 8am – 5pm) 
  • Call would be approximately 1:6 for weekdays and 1:10 for weekends.
  • Up to 20% subspecialty clinic, salaried time will be provided for scholarship and 50 hours of teaching required annually.
