- Access to:
- 2 Ambulatory Endoscopy Centers (ASCs) in Guilford County
- 2 hospital locations: High Point Medical Center and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center
- Collaborative relationship with 20+ faculty physicians at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC
- Practice Expansion:
- The Community GI team is expanding to new medical office locations in Greensboro and Winston-Salem in 2026
- Schedule & Hours:
- Office/Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Endoscopy Hours: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (based on location)
- Clinical Responsibilities:
- Hybrid Case Model:
- GI physician assigned to hospital consults
- Supported by a dedicated inpatient APP
- Procedure Mix:
- Outpatient hospital cases
- Inpatient cases in a dedicated endoscopy department
- Procedures Performed:
- Full range of GI Endoscopy
- Upper (e.g., EGD) and Lower (e.g., Colonoscopy)
- Patient Volume:
- Procedure Days: 15+ patients/day
- Clinic Sessions: 7–10 patients/session
- Call Coverage:
- 1:6 nights/weekends at High Point Medical Center
- Daytime hospital work partially covered by a dedicated GI hospitalist
- Call will be equally distributed as the group expands
- Technology & Integration:
- Generates draft patient notes
- Streamlines clinical workflows
- Enhances efficiency in review, editing, and signature
- A physician-led medical group
- Embedded service line support
- EPIC EMR for streamlined patient management
- Leverage DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic:
- Be part of an integrated, nationally recognized organization with:
Required Training/Education:
- Graduation from an accredited medical school as an M.D./D.O.
- Successful completion of Internal Medicine residency at an accredited healthcare institution.
- Successful completion of Gastroenterology Fellowship at an accredited healthcare institution.
- Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing required.

Located in the heart of High Point, this clinic offers expert care in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including celiac disease, pancreatitis, colorectal cancer, liver disease, and more. The facility is part of the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist network, ensuring patients receive high-quality, coordinated care backed by academic medicine.
The clinic features a compassionate team of specialists and support staff dedicated to providing personalized care in a comfortable and accessible setting.
