Kaweah Delta was founded in 1963 as a district hospital. Now we are the largest hospital in Tulare and Kings Counties and a certified level III Trauma Center. We work with more than 4,400 medical professionals. Our eight-campuses contain over 581 beds. As the only local hospital in Visalia, we offer comprehensive health services including cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, cancer treatment, mental health services, orthopedic surgery, a renowned NICU and pediatric center, and more. We have six ACGME accredited residency programs, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Anesthesia, Psychiatry and Transitional Year.

Challenges:

• Finding physicians who have a desire and passion to work in underserved communities.
• Recruiting to a variety of practice settings, including independent contractors.
• Recruiting a variety of specialties (including dermatology, ENT, GI, rheumatology, palliative medicine, OB, as well as for PCP's, hospitalists, and more).
• Tracking candidates and remembering all of the details so the process runs smoothly, and nothing falls through the cracks.
